Belocine Musolo
Founder & Creative Director

Belocine Musolo is the Founder and Creative Director of Nephtali Couture — an African-inspired couture house based in Scotland.

Born in France, with roots in the Democratic Republic of Congo and shaped by her journey to Scotland, Belocine’s work reflects a deep connection to African heritage, storytelling, and the power of clothing to transform how people feel in their bodies.

Her designs are known for their sculptural silhouettes, vibrant textiles, and emotional impact — garments that celebrate femininity, presence, and individuality.

A Vision Rooted in Culture

Belocine founded Nephtali Couture after recognising a gap in the Scottish fashion landscape: a space where African-inspired design could exist with elegance, craftsmanship, and couture-level artistry.
What began as a desire to share the beauty of African textiles with Scotland evolved into a fashion house — where tradition meets modern refinement.

Design Philosophy

Belocine believes clothing should do more than fit — it should empower.
Her approach centres on:
• Celebrating every body and every curve
• Designing garments that move beautifully
• Honouring African heritage through modern couture
Many clients describe leaving the atelier not only wearing a dress — but standing differently, smiling more, and feeling truly seen.

The Atelier

As Creative Director, Belocine personally oversees every commission — from the first consultation to the final fitting. Each piece is crafted with intention, care, and a deep respect for the wearer’s story.
Nephtali Couture is not mass-produced. It is created slowly, thoughtfully, and with purpose.
